With 35 years of experience in the field, Dr.Tang is internationally recognized as one

of the pioneering experts in MEMS. In the past 22 years, he contributes his expertise

by applying MEMS in biomedical applications and particularly to neural engineering

on the microscale. At the University of California, Irvine, Dr.Tang Is a co-inventor of

the patent on the bioreactors for long-term culture of retinal organoids. Currently,

he continues his collaborative efforts to further expand the capabilities and

automations of the bioreactor to minimize human labor are drastically lower the

production costs of high-quality retinal organoids for transplantation therapies.
